The Health Information Management Association of Arizona (HIMA of AZ) is a state component of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). AHIMA is the professional organization representing over 40,000 specially educated health information management professionals who work through the healthcare industry. HIMA of AZ has over 575 members involved in a variety of healthcare aspects. Our common goals are to provide quality information while providing patient confidentiality. We are responsible for establishing and maintaining policies to meet the mandated standards set forth by the government and other regulatory and accrediting organizations.
